Cookie policy
No tracking, no advertising cookies, and nothing from Google unless you ask for the map.
The short version
This website does not set any cookies of its own, and it does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. That is why you do not see a cookie banner. Nothing from Google loads unless you press the button to show a map.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website can store on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s “local storage”, work in the same way. The law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) says a website must ask for your consent before using them, unless they are strictly necessary for something you have asked for, or fall within another exemption the law allows.
What this website stores on your device
| Name | Type | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
ld-textsize | Local storage, set only if you use the “Text size” buttons | Remembers the text size you chose, so pages stay readable for you. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. | Until you clear your browser’s site data |
Because this only happens when you ask for it, it does not need consent. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s data for this site.
Google Maps
Our home page and Visit us page can show a map from Google. It does not load automatically. When you press Load the Google map, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Pressing the button is your choice to do this, and it only applies to that page view. Google uses this information under its own privacy policy and cookie information.
If you prefer, use the “open the location in Google Maps” link instead, or our written directions on the Visit us page.
Fonts, videos and links
Our fonts, photographs and videos are stored on our own website, so loading them does not contact anyone else. Links to Google reviews, Instagram and Facebook take you to those websites, where their own cookie policies apply. Nothing is shared with them until you click.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop this website working, apart from the text-size setting not being remembered.
Changes
If we ever add something that needs your consent, such as visitor statistics, we will ask you first and update this page. Questions: bonjour@ledelice.co.uk. See also our privacy policy.
