Our Story

Our café is inspired by traditional family values and good old-fashioned hospitality since 2013. We then opened another shop on Hither Green Lane, which used to be a cinema back in the 1960s.

In our family, the kitchen is at the heart of the home. There is always fresh-baked sourdough bread and a big pot of tea and a cake on the table.

We have tried to recreate that feeling of homeliness wherever we can. Everyone is welcome and will be greeted warmly in comfortable, unpretentious surroundings.

Fresh and Local

We have worked hard to build a team at Le Délice that is friendly and helpful. Each one of us is passionate about putting a smile on your face with excellent service and fantastic fresh food. At Le Délice, we believe in healthy and wholesome home-cooking and baking, using fresh produce since 2013.

From the bread and butter to our smoked salmon, all produce has been meticulously selected from local sources wherever possible. In 2021, we opened our second Délice. So now we have a bit of Paris in Ladywell and in Hither Green! We are building a strong and friendly team since, having more Chef Pâtissiers to make amazing fresh cakes everyday. We have been awarded the Mayor of Lewisham Business Award for Best Café 2022 and 2025.

Our Creations

Beautiful homemade cakes, fresh filled baguettes and paninis. Home-made crêpes (sweet or savoury) and breakfast all day.
And of course, lovely fresh croissants and pastry variety every morning!
